Dr. Snipes & Associates is an independent optometric practice with four locations in Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky. We are seeking full-time and part-time Optometrists to join our team.

Our Optometrists provide comprehensive, medical, and problem-focused eye care while maintaining full independent clinical judgment. Our offices are supported by experienced technicians and modern diagnostic technology, allowing our doctors to focus on providing excellent patient care.
Responsibilities include:
Perform comprehensive and problem-focused eye examinations
Diagnose and manage ocular disease within the scope of Kentucky licensure
Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, medications, and appropriate treatments
Perform routine and specialty contact lens evaluations and fittings
Manage dry eye, glaucoma, and other ocular conditions
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic testing as clinically appropriate
Make appropriate referrals and participate in co-management
Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment, and follow-up care
Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
Work collaboratively with technicians, staff, and other providers
Our practices utilize technology including Optos retinal imaging, OCT/OCT-A, visual field testing, RETeval ERG, and digital examination systems, with equipment varying by location.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
Current Kentucky optometry license or eligibility to obtain licensure
Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills
Ability to work independently while also being part of a collaborative team
New graduates and experienced Optometrists are welcome to apply
Schedules may include weekdays and weekends depending on the position and location. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.
