CPO, CPOA, CPOT TESTING

Attention Paraoptometrics: The KOA will be offering the CPO, CPOA, and CPOT tests at the KOA's Fall Conference at the Embassy Suites.  The test will be given on Saturday, October 4th.  The KOA will also be offering a Test Review course on Friday, October 3rd at the Embassy (counts toward AOA credit).  Click here for the Test Registration form and click here for the Friday Review Registration form. 

***If you are participating in both the testing and review, please send both forms to the AOA-CPC.  If you are only participating in the testing please send that form to the AOA-CPC.   If you only want to take the review course and not test please send the review registation form to the KOA office.  The deadline to register is August 23, 2008.  If you have any questions, please email sarah@kyeyes.org

 

2008 FALL CONFERENCE

The KOA Fall Conference will be October 3-5 in Lexington at the Embassy Suites.  Registration materials will be sent out in the summer.  If you would like to go on and make hotel reservations, please call the Embassy at 1-800-EMBASSY and ask for the KOA rate of $145.00. 

 

AOA ANNOUNCES NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The American Optometric Association has appointed prominent health policy expert and educator Barry J. Barresi, O.D., Ph.D., to serve as executive director of the 30,000 member organization effective July 1, 2008.  To read the annoucement the AOA has released on Dr. Barresi login into the Members Only section and click on the Members Only link. 

 

NEW MEDICAID VISION MANUAL

The new Medicaid Vision Manual, effective November 22, 2007, is available in the Members Only section under the Medicaid link.

“DOCTORS OF VISION” 
Order your copy of this fine art print, "Doctors of Vision", to show your pride in the profession of optometry. This painting is representative of the heritage of optometry as well as today’s practice. AOA members can have their print personalized by the artist with their name on the AOA Membership Certificate within the painting. The print is also available attractively framed with a 2-inch walnut frame and neutral double matting. All framed prints come with a brass plate which can include up to two lines of engraving.

 

This project is being done in partnership with AOA state affiliates. All net proceeds will go to the advancement of optometry.
